Lubin with kids means a free zoo, a rope park, a trampoline park and several play rooms. Here is where to go with a toddler and with an older child.

Where to go with children when you want fresh air?

Start with the zoo. It covers 14.47 hectares of the revitalised Wrocław Park in the town centre, and entry is free all year round. Themed educational trails lead from wild Polish fauna to animals known only from reconstructions, and you pass natural monuments on the way. It is a calm outing for parents with a pushchair and for children who like watching animals up close.

Older kids will enjoy the Rope Park in the Forest Park, run by the Historical Museum in Lubin. It has two routes with a combined length of 260 metres, and each is made of 12 sections ordered from easier to harder. Expect rope ladders, hanging chairs, a tunnel and ropes. The youngest get their own wooden crocodile structure with climbing walls.

Where can kids burn off energy indoors?

Hoppark Trampoline Park at 3 Zwierzyckiego Street accepts children from the age of 3. It has flat and slanted trampolines, a parkour zone, a pitch for team games, a slide, a gladiator track and foam pits for soft landings. Hoppark also hosts children's birthday parties, which helps if you plan a bigger celebration.

Akuku is a play centre with five slides: a pool slide, a large triple slide, a roller slide, a raft slide and a tube slide. There are also two trampolines and a pitch for football and basketball. Children aged up to four have a separate 100 square metre zone with a ball pit, a bouncy castle and sensory toys. Parents can rest in the cafe, and the venue accepts the Large Family Card. Mrówka Play Room at 7 Wrocławska Street is an indoor space with slides, a ball pit and an obstacle course.

Which play room is close to you?

Lubin has several smaller rooms, so it is easy to choose one on your way. Kubusiowy Zakątek is on Norwida Street, opposite Primary School no. 14. Dziecięca Kraina stands on Mikołaja Kopernika Street. Bawidełko on Sikorskiego Street combines a play room with a cafe and a toy shop. Inside you will find wooden toys and skill games, outside there is an extra playground, and children can join sensory classes, English lessons and dog therapy sessions. Check opening hours and entry rules with the venue before you go.

What else can you plan with kids in Lubin?

When the children have had enough of play, try bowling and laser tag or the ideas for whole families. A rainy day calls for the list of places for wet weather. The full set for the town is on the Lubin attractions page, and ideas from other towns are under attractions for children in Lower Silesia.
