Lubin for families: a free zoo, outdoor pools, a rope park, bowling alleys and play rooms. See how to build a full day for the whole crew.
How to plan a whole day with the family in Lubin?
For a warm-up take the zoo. Entry is free, and educational trails run through the revitalised Wrocław Park in the town centre. After that you can move on to activities that suit several generations. The Rope Park in the Forest Park has two routes with a combined length of 260 metres, and a wooden crocodile with climbing walls for the youngest.
A good rhythm for the day: a morning walk through the zoo, lunch and bowling or a play room around noon, then the pools in summer or a museum if the weather turns. Children up to four have their own zone at Akuku, so an older sibling does not have to wait for the little one.
In summer add the Lubin RCS outdoor pools. The complex next to the Regional Sports Centre includes a sports pool with six 25-metre lanes, the Delfin, Multislide and Anakonda slides, a diving pool with a springboard, a lazy rapids river, and a water playground with a paddling pool and fountains for the smallest.
Where can kids run wild whatever the weather?
Hoppark at 3 Zwierzyckiego Street accepts children from age 3 and has trampolines, a parkour zone, a gladiator track and foam pits; the trampolines hold up to 300 kilograms and the venue hosts birthday parties. Akuku has five slides and, for children up to four, a separate zone with a ball pit and a bouncy castle; it accepts the Large Family Card. Smaller play rooms are Mrówka on Wrocławska Street, Kubusiowy Zakątek on Norwida Street and Dziecięca Kraina on Kopernika Street.
What if the parents want a rest too?
Akuku has a cafe from which you can watch the children play. Bawidełko combines a play room, a cafe and a toy shop, and runs sensory classes, English lessons and dog therapy for kids. Older children and adults can bowl together: BowlingClubLubin has eight lanes and a pizzeria, while Kręgielnia RCS has six lanes, four ramps for the youngest, and billiards and table-top air hockey.
Which cultural stops work with children?
The Historical Museum has four branches, so you can split a visit into short stages. Pałacyk Gallery, with its art exhibitions, offers free entry. Every place named here carries the family tag, and many also carry the rainy day tag. For ideas matched to age, see the offer for children, and for a wider list try rainy day places and the Lubin attractions page. Family outings from other towns are under places for families. Always check hours and entry rules with the venue.
