Beautiful views in Kowary start on the platform at Brzeźnik and end at the paragliding launch on Wołowa Góra. Where to look farthest.

Where is the viewing platform in Kowary?

On Brzeźnik, a domed summit in the Rudawy Janowickie on the northern edge of town. The platform has benches and an information board, so it is the one target on this list that immediately gives you a place to rest with a panorama of the area. The slopes fall steeply and the summit is made of granite, which gives it a clear, rounded shape.

Where in Kowary can you look around from a great height?

The highest on the list is Wołowa Góra (1041 m above sea level) in the Kowary Ridge. Paragliders choose it as a launch site, which says something about how open the surroundings are. Wołowa Góra is a prominent summit: the main high point of a side ridge that leaves the Czoło summit northwards and runs from Krzaczyna to Kowary. North-east of it lies Łysa Góra (946 m), but it is a modest summit without a distinctive peak, so do not expect a spectacular silhouette, rather a quiet walk.

Sulica (942 m) in the Lasocki Ridge has two marked trails, yellow and green, a stone monument to a teacher at the top and two roads with hairpin bends on the Kowarska Pass side. The summit and slopes are covered by upper-montane spruce forest.

What does the lowest mountain in Kowary offer?

Góra Parkowa (550 m) is right above town. On its southern slope a landscape park was laid out in the early 19th century in the Romantic spirit, and remains of it survive. It is the lowest of the mountains with a height given here, so it suits a short outing.

If you only want to sit and look, Brzeźnik with its benches is enough. If you have stamina and want a wider look around, pick Wołowa Góra. Sulica suits you if you like a route with two trails to choose from.
