Międzygórze solo means Śnieżnik Massif summits for a trip on your own, from wooded Lesieniec to Średniak, which reaches 1210 m above sea level.

Which summits suit a trip on your own?

The mountains carry the "Solo" tag here, because walking alone pays off most when you set your own pace and stops. For a quiet start take Lesieniec (868 m): a wooded ridge without rocks, reached by a green trail from Międzygórze and a blue one. It is understated in the terrain, so a map helps you avoid walking right past it. Of similar effort are Góra Modrzewiowa (703 m), a narrow ridge above the Nysa gorge, and Toczek (713 m) with its Rock Gate and Tower. Toczek rises from the south-western slope of Lesieniec, so both targets fit into one day. Góra Modrzewiowa, formerly Katzer-lehne, is built of gneiss, and its western slope falls very steeply, so take care on that side.

Which route to choose for a full day?

For a longer day, aim higher. Średniak (1210 m) lies on the ridge running west from Śnieżnik. Jaworowa Kopa (1138 m) is on the way to Śnieżnik, and Smrekowiec (1123 m) is its neighbour in the Śnieżnik Landscape Park. Czarna Kopa (879 m) formerly Schwolzer Koppe, is the western ridge of Śnieżnik covered in spruce forest, and it divides the valleys of the Wilczka and its tributaries. All of these climbs are forest outings, not short strolls from a car park.

The descriptions give no marking details, so before a solo outing check the route, take a map and tell someone where you are going. You decide the pace, but you are also the one responsible for water, a charged phone and turning back when the weather worsens. Mountain weather changes faster than in the valley.

What else to plan when you are on your own?
