Aqua Zdrój is the largest sports facility in the Sudetes region. The water park with pools lies in the Biały Kamień district, on Ratuszowa Street, at the foot of Chełmiec hill. The complex also has a hotel, a restaurant and a conference centre, so eating on site is easy. A stadium and two training pitches stand next door. The spa town of Szczawno-Zdrój is nearby. For a change, the Palm House is a historic winter garden from 1913 beside Książ Castle. Its walls are lined with volcanic tuff from Mount Etna, several hundred plant species grow here, and a bonsai exhibition completes the visit. It has been a listed monument since 1994, and it was built as a winter garden for Prince Henryk XV von Pless, owner of the castle.
The city has play rooms and a trampoline park. Cinema Fun has a toddler zone for children under three and separate zones for older ones, plus workshops and educational classes. Kinderplaneta in the Victoria gallery also divides its space by age and has a bar or cafe for parents, and Fit Style Kids on Wyszyńskiego Street sits next to a fitness club and holds birthdays with entertainers. Older children will like Jump Planet: besides trampolines it has the CardioWall, a slam-dunk zone, a Ninja course, a climbing wall and an Air Bag cushion. The park also runs gymnastics and acrobatics classes for children. All these addresses carry the "Na deszcz" (rainy day) tag.
