Closest to the market square is Forteczna Góra, about 300 metres north-west of it. It rises roughly 70 metres above its surroundings, stands 369 metres above sea level and is occupied by the Kłodzko Fortress, visible in the town panorama. Three slopes fall gently, so the approach is not sharp, and the fourth, facing the Nysa Kłodzka, is steep. The western slope is covered by a park of deciduous trees. The summit is flattened and weakly marked, so do not expect a sharp ridge, but the fortifications do the work.
Szyndzielnia is 431 metres high and lies about 2.8 kilometres east of the centre. A 19th-century lookout tower stands on top, but it is closed to visitors, so do not plan to climb it. The summit and slopes above 370 metres are covered by a small mixed forest, and the hill itself is modest. Wzgórze Marii, also called Mariańska Górka, is 365 metres high and lies in the same Bardzkie Mountains. It is close to bigger sights: the Kłodzko Fortress, the Underground Tourist Route and the Museum of the Kłodzko Land, so it combines easily with a day in town.
Szpitalna Górka is about 320 metres high, lies in Ustronie in the north of town and is covered by meadows and fields today. A municipal brickworks once stood here, and at the foot, on Półwiejska Street, a few farm buildings remain. Krzyżna Góra is just under 326 metres in the south-east of Kłodzko. Available sources describe no viewpoint or trail on it, so it is more of a stroll than a trip. Do not confuse it with Krzyżna Góra in the Rudawy Janowickie.
